At the VivaTech trade show, Hype, an independent pure player and pioneer in hydrogen mobility, announces with Enhywhere, an industrial start-up in hydrogen equipment and solutions, the order of 2 autonomous Enhywhere stations with integrated electrolyser.
These stations will be integrated in Hype’s Paris region network and will be deployed in 2023, as part of the “Last Mile by Hype” project supported by the French Agency for Ecological Transition (ADEME), the European Commission and the greater Paris Region.
Hype and Enhywhere announce that they will be cooperating to pool their expertise and feedback in order to rapidly optimise the technical and operational performance of the stations, with the aim of securing and accelerating their industrialisation. This partnership is in line with the strategic priorities set by the French government in terms of reindustrialisation and energy transition.
Mathieu Gardies, CEO and Founder of Hype, commented: “We’re delighted to partner with Enhywhere, a promising new player in the French hydrogen industry. We’re convinced that responses to climate issues require the rapid development and the industrialisation of different types of solutions, and that Enhywhere’s autonomous stations are an effective answer to the challenges posed by the launch and development of green hydrogen solutions for mobility, particularly in urban areas.”
Hechem Nadjar, CEO and co-Founder of Enhywhere, added: “Enhywhere is taking a major step forward through this strategic partnership with Hype. It demonstrates our shared commitment to a more sustainable future and marks a significant step forward in the deployment of hydrogen infrastructure in urban areas. The use of these autonomous hydrogen stations with integrated electrolyser by the world’s largest fleet of hydrogen taxis will enable us to accelerate our technological roadmap.”
Launched in Paris in 2015 at COP 21 in response to the public health emergency of air and noise
pollution in urban areas, Hype is developing the first hydrogen mobility platform integrating sourcing
and production, distribution and uses, with taxis as the first relevant market. Hype, which has been
operating the world’s largest fleet of hydrogen-powered taxis for more than seven years, now seeks to
drive a rapid and mass transition to zero-emission, on-demand transportation and professional mobility
uses.
Leveraging its speed of execution and agility with its scalable and integrated model facilitating the use
of zero emission mobility solutions for as many drivers and customers as possible in the short term,
Hype plans to deploy its platform in 15 other regions in France and around the world by the end of
2025.
